Place a plastic zip tie through the hole in the nut and guide it through the fender hole from underneath the fender. Then place the clip to secure the nut in place(clip above the fender).
Did you order the 7" inch solo directly from Motherwell? Their site is saying that model is out of stock.
Thanks
K
Decided to give it a try. I did it a little differently. Removed the plastic plug and could see how the nut would line up. Got a piece of string and a stick match and tied the string to the match and fished it through the hole. Once it came out from under the fender I placed the nut on the string by fishing the match through the hole of the nut. Pulled the string up a VIOLA placed the c clip on and finished the instal. Pretty easy and I love the look.
I saw that the 7" was on back order and decided that I would go with the 6" instead. Did'nt see where a 1/2" on either side would make that much of a difference.
I can see what hd_sob was talking aboutbut the main reason I bought the rack is that I plan on getting some throw over bags soon and I figure that the rack will help to save the paint on the fender. And when the bags are removed well you can't beat how the chrome looks on the Vivid Black paint.
