I have a 2008 Street Bob and a buddy just gave me a set of slip on Screamin Eagle II pipes off his 2006 Street Bob. \\; The pipes are stamped with a message that they are not street legal. \\; Does anyone know if these will work on my bike? \\; Will I need any adjustments? \\; Will they void my warranty? \\; Thanks for you help.
I am not sure about the waranty part but I put them on my 07 Lowrider and have not had any problems. \\; Once you put them on make sure you ride your bike for a bit to let the ECM adjust to the new exhaust flow. \\; I dont see why they wouldnt work on you bike.
There is no possible way to make those fit on your bike. \\; And if you do, they will probably cause the engine to melt. \\; You can ship those out to me for disposal, and all I will charge you is the postage. \\; PM me for my address.
No they will not work fine if you just put them on. You need a fuel managment item(SERT<\\; DFO<\\; etc) Otherwise you run the risk of running way too lean and burning up your valves.
Bronk, afraid to disagree. So long as he stays with the stock A/C he should be OK. If he goes with a free flowing A/C then he needs to look for at least a Stage 1 download to the ECM, Nightride IEDs or some of the other fuel managment gizmos.
BTW, you should probably do the stage 1 download or the Nightrider IEDs anyway, you'll enjoy the improvement in the ridability.
Don't need fuel management until you go to a high flow air cleaner, but I agree\\; I would go with a high flow A/C and get the fuel management taken care of as well. \\; Big difference in the snap of the bike!
Got me a pair of SE II on ebay for $46.00 shipped, after cleaning them with Shout and a toothbrush, they look inmaculate. what a deal I got. Only problem is that the rivet that holds baffle in place is little loose, thinking about using C washer to the outside of rivet to tight it. any other suggestions? \\;
running IED with OEM air filter.
BTW I might sell my HD blunts on Sig picture if anybody is interested, drill out permanent baffles.

Drilling out the rivet and replacing with bolts/screws, nuts, and washers works better IYAM. Those rivets are forever working loose, and I hate rattles.
