OK! Its June 15th but, I finally have the mini apes and the forward controls installed on my 05 Super Glide with help from an ever so patient buddy Ray, who installed them for me at near slave wages.
Being on a shoe string budget I appreciate the help from everyone who had input on this popular mod for the FXD model. I personally am dubbing this mod the "Not So Wide Glide"

H-D Forward Control Kit from Chicago H-D: $250 including shipping
H-D Mini Apes from Zanottis H-D: $42 including shipping
H-D Wide Glide brake line from local dealer: $45
Total parts: $337
Special thanks to my upstairs neighbor Andy who bailed me out by tapping a bolt I tried to force in the transmission shifter lever before I had help from mechanicly knowledgable personal.
Hats off to Chicago H-D who stood by the sale and forwarded a missing part. I'll use them again. You should too.
If you are ever are around southern NH. Stop in Manadnock H-D in Swanzey NH in the Keene NH area. They went out of their way to help me out by pulling some strings. I was riding around with only the left side forward controls installed. Randy made the missing brake lever appear with some savvy partsman skills while I waited for Chicago H-D to ship out the missing item.
My gratitude to all those who previously mentioned this process in threads but particular thanks to SilverGlide for his advice and especially the detailed pictures which really came to save the day when we were halfway through installing the mini apes.
Now my Hog feels like a Hog!
