Default 1000 mile service question

Hey all, just wondering on some input here.&nbsp\\; New Fat Bob owner, running about 515 miles now.&nbsp\\; Also called the dealership mechanic on this one.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; At about 400 miles, I installed some cycle shack slip-ons, and know theyre ok, no remap needed, no air breather change.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; When talking about my 1000 mile service coming soon I asked and the local dealer mechanic said he wouldnt void my warranty, anyone else put something on so soon and did harley give you any warranty issues doing so?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Plus I bought the bike from a different dealer than my local one, and I hear that the locals are territorial and I wont get much good work done.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Any input on that as well?
&nbsp\\;
thanks!

The backslashes are a bug with the system.&nbsp\\; Not you.&nbsp\\; Been going on for some time now.&nbsp\\; Moderators assure us they're working on it.&nbsp\\;

Interested in this also as I'm a new Street Bob owner with a little over 300 miles and added the Cycle Shack's also last weekend.

This is what I was told, No it won't void the warranty,and I had the dealer install the same slip ons as you&nbsp\\; only (turn out style) at the time of purchase and for better airflow I had the SE air cleaner installed too with a "flash" download. As for buying your bike from another dealer other than where you have it serviced, there is a differents in where you stand in line imo, that dealer is going to take care of his customers&nbsp\\; first &nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; so to speak. I drove 65 miles to get a better deal when I bought the bike and yes it's SUCKS to take it back for any warranty work if I want the bike back the same or next day.

Just my .02 worth

thanks guys.&nbsp\\; well, most of the time all i do with the dealer is the 1000 mile job, and getting a tire changed since i dont have the lift to do it myself.&nbsp\\; the rest is done on my own 99 percent of the time.&nbsp\\; the thing is, the local dealer just always encouraged me to stay with my sportster when i mentioned a bike i wanted to trade for, and offers of 2 or 3 grand for my sportster couldnt&nbsp\\;compete when the other dealer gave me 6 when it had 14000 miles on it and lots of road wear.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; glad to hear the dealers didnt void on the slip-ons.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; ill probably still use the closer dealer and just put up with it i guess for now.
