Default Ok Guys, Need Help!!!

2006 Street Bob
1300 miles
d RPM
Just got the motor mount issue fixed (see earlier post) had to drive from Savannah Ga. to Columbia SC. cause Savannah HD Sucks a**. Anyway, got the motor mount fixed and while there did the 1000 mi. service with Synthetic. (Columbia was $120 cheaper than Sav. HD for this) and they also suggested I do the Stage I download cause I got the cycle shack slipons. So I say sure, might as well, I wanted to add the high flow AC soon anyway. So, few hours later I'm picking up my bike and heading south on it, fully expecting to be very suprised with the ride. Well...... the motor mount issue definitely made a difference, the strong vibrations on decell were gone along with a few other vibes. But, the strong rear vibes that make my detachable sissy rattle so bad my wife's teeth chatter, were still there. Bummer, thought they would be gone. Oh well, bike should run better with the Stage I, Right........ Wrong, bike is running like Chit. Surging, missing, and farting at steady throttle throughout all gears???? Popping on decel (which really wasn't that bad before download) and I'm thinking WTF..... Isn't the download supposed to fix this, don't really notice any difference in performance either. So I drive it all the way back to Sav. kinda pissed, just dropped some bucks on my bike and now it runs worse....... So next day I call Harley Haven and talk to the service manager I had been dealing with. He's stumped not sure what the problem could be. Says the 1000 mi. service wouldn't have anything to do with it and maybe it could be the download. He says I probably need to go ahead an buy the high flow ac...... Great! that's another $150, I was planning on waiting on that for a while. I though I could run the download with the slipons and stock ac and run a little rich. He says go get it and I do....... Put it on and..... throttle is a little peppier but still surging, missing and also RPMs not dropping for a few seconds after stoping at lights. Feels a little silly sitting at a stoplight and RPMs reving a few thousand. Call HD back the next day and they're not really sure what the hecks up but now they're acting squirly, say maybe if I bring it back they can look at it but tell me that Fuel Injection bikes sometimes run like this. I'm calling BS, FI should be as smooth or smoother than Carb. I'm pissed, my bike runs like chit and it makes me not really want to ride it, which is crap. Any suggestions you guys can offer would be great. Only thing I can think is that they gave me the wrong Stage I download. I looked at the receipt and the part number is the right one for my bike with my injectors. It's the race download, by the way. I also have 8 deg. injectors, Could this be my problem? Seems like I would have noticed it before but maybe the vibes were too bad then.....
Please Help!!!!
Sorry for the long post.

Can't imagine that this is just needing break in. If I picked a bike up at the dealership and it was running like this I would take it back and ask for my money back.

dude you put in a stage 1 download WITHOUT the stage 1... your bike is starving for oxygen with that set up... if you do slip ons and leave stock AC you do not map... and vice versa... ahhh stop listening to the stealer HE JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY!!!!

&nbsp\\;
+1 on this theory.&nbsp\\; You now have a map that is compensating for more air yet you aren't pushing more air into the motor without a stage 1 a/c.&nbsp\\; Save yourself some money and get an a/c online.&nbsp\\; You can get them between 100 and 120 bucks depending on the brand.&nbsp\\; Check easternperformance.com.&nbsp\\; Great prices, ships same day and shipping is free.

I added the Screaming Eagle Stage I AC, (see post again) and as I said, it didn't help the problem. So, now I'm stuck.&nbsp\\;
Thanks Guys, Keep the suggestions coming.

I'd take the ac off and make the dealer undo the download that you didn't need to start with.&nbsp\\; It's a shame they are so far away but that's really your problem, not theirs (no offense).&nbsp\\; Then I'd either sell the a/c or save it until I was ready to get some sort of aftermarket adjustable fuel management.
