If you don't like it, the best place for it is in a dumpster. Just smile and say, yes, you put it on your bike and thanks for the kind thoughts. If she comes to see the bike, use the same story as above about it being stolen.

I have mine in a hole on the frame just below the fork neck and \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\; about a foot above the voltage regulator. Looks good there.
