ok guys i tried something yesterday while riding with the windshield on i lifted my legs up and wraped them around the gas tank and all the buffeting went away a soon as i took my legs down it was back so the air is coming from the bottom so how do we stop that one???
 \\;\\\\\\;
If the fork bag doesn't stop it, you'll need something similar to these...
 \\;
I have the Sport Tech shield on both of my bikes:http://www.sportechinc.com/prod_cruiser.aspx
Notice how at the top of the shield it curls forward? This in effect adds two inches of height to the windshield.
I like mine a lot and never used one before. \\;\\\\\\; Mine is adjusted to the bottom of the tree and the top of the shield hits me at nose level  \\;or lower. \\;\\\\\\; No problem. \\;\\\\\\; No more wind in the chest or stress on the shoulders. \\;\\\\\\; There are days in the plains states that the wind gets pretty agressive, but even then, it's still better with the shield on out on the road.
I've got the HD compact detachable and since I am 6'2", the shield only comes to about my chin. The wind flow is broken up enough to not blast me in the face too bad, but the main thrust is in my eyes, which makes my goggles "vibrate", for lack of a better word. Visibility at 70+ with wind sucks. I like the fact the shield keeps the pressure off my chest, but it would be nice to not be blasted in the eyes. Just as a side note, on mine, there is no adjustment at all. My only choice to eliminate the eye blast thing is to replace the shield with another, not an option at the moment...
Sarge sounds like we have the same shield. The pressure is off the chest as you said, \\; I will be looking at both items noted above as I just feel with the $500.00 purchase I should not have to wear ear plugs for wind... only loud pipes (which I still have to buy).
