Some have asked about my experience with the Deuce wheel swap, this is a copy of what I sent to one member:
\\;\\\\\\;I got my Deuce wheel off ebay for $107.00 which was a great price usually around $150.00 up. I have seen them on hdforums classifieds, too.( I think "easymoney" has one for sale). HD says 2000 and up will work, mine was a 2004. As far as polishing, I used Mothers and thier PowerBall, got both at WallyWorld. Then used Harleys Glaze and Sealant. If you don't do that, it will start yellowing real quick. I have the stock 160mm tire on mine, but I understand the SE180 will fit also, it is the same size rim as the stock lace rims. I had to buy the Wheel Installation kit from HD, it was $69.00, \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; part \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\;\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\; #43861-08. \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Comes with more stuff than you need. Get HD to print the instructions that come with the Deuce wheel they sale for the FXDC, it has a good breakdown of what parts to use. the install kit does not have instructions. You have to remove the 3/4" bearings from the rim and install 1" bearings and spacer that comes in the kit. I cut mine out with a dremmel (probably a better way to do it, but it's all I had). It uses the same wheel spacers that are on your bike, the short one on the right and the long one on the left. \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; If you need some more info just ask.
Good Luck, Jeff
when I did mine I did not have instructions and it took awhile to figure out what to use in the wheel but if you look at my sig pick you can see the deuce wheel and a sporster 13 spoke mag on my bob for the front I had to fab new spacers to alighn the front wheel to the center of the forks and make spacers to shim out the brake caliper.
Thanks Oilslick, for clearing that up. I had read a thread on here that said I would have to bore the center for the spacer, and when I took the bearings out the spacer slid right in with no problem, So 1999 and \\;back needs to be bored and 2000 and up does not.
