Default brake fluid leak

the other day i noticed a little pain bubbling up around the lid on my front brake fluid resevoir. a friend of mine has the same bike, '06 low rider, and he has the same issue. i began tightening the screws and noticed a rubber flange under the lid started to schmoosh out a bit so i backed off the screws a half turn and called it good. anyone else seen this? is there a better lid or flange available?

There have been many posts about this issue.&nbsp\\; A lot of the master cylinder gaskets were replaced under warranty.&nbsp\\; Some may have been due to improper tightening of the screws.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
As you mentioned, the screws do not need to be buried tight into the m/c body.&nbsp\\; They should be just tight enough to allow the gasket to sit flush and sealed around all edges.

My dealer took a look at mine that was all paint bubbled and said&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; "yep, that's covered by warranty" and they even let me swap the part.
