Default Speedometer light

Hello everyone,I just noticed my speedometer panel light is on with the key off, I walked out to my shop tonight and seen it on,I hooked up my battery tender to keep it from running the battery down,The only thing I can think of is I washed my bike today ,maybe I got something wet,I don't know I tried the key every way and it still stays on.
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Has any one experienced this ? and if so what do I need to look at?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Thanks Eno&nbsp\\;,07 Street Bob

2006 FXDI..I am having the same issue. The speedometer light stays lit after turning bike off and removing key. It appears to be happening after washing the bike. I had noticed a white residue around the ignition key hole. I have been taking the key out while washing. The dealer replaced the ignition switch but the problem has come back. I plan to get some type of electrical contact cleaner\lubricant. Any one else here solved this?

I forgot to mention when I tap the front brake lever it sometimes goes away. Other times I have had to put a rubberband around it (gently as the brake light will come on) to keep the speedometer backlight off.

Is it definetly in the 'off' position and not in the 'acc' position? If it got wet, try spraying a little WD40.

its definately in the off position. its been dry the past few days and no problems. gonna stop at the steeler and have them spray electrical contact cleaner\lubriacnt in it for good measure. they said they will honor the repair again as it was in twice under warranty and was "fixed" both times.
