Valve check
Is there a way to check the valves for damage. \\; I've been trying to adjust my adjustable pushrods and am afraid i may have over tightened them possibly causing the valve to be damaged...now i'm seeing blue smoke from the exhaust which worries me. \\;

If you are seeing blue smoke then the likely hood is you have damaged or are on the way to damaging something because you are \\;burning oil thus the blue smoke. \\; Why are you burning, well could be a number of reasons - the valves aren't seating correctly, a valve stem oil seal is damaged or worst case you've damaged or burnt the valve seats. \\; The only real way to be sure is to strip the head and take a look. \\; Of course you could be real lucky and by adjusting them correctly the valves seat correctly and all will be fine. \\; You should also check you haven't bent the push rods too.
