Default Back from Shenandoah Valley Mountains

We just finished a 3 day 950 mile run from Long Island, NY to the Senandoah Valley Mountains in VA. We did over 400 miles the first day (150 of them in the rain) and it was a only a little challenging on my Superglide - towards the end when we started to climb the mountain my fingers were numb from the cold and the butt was sore.

The riding was amazing. Great scenery and awesome twists and turns. One of the guys was on a Goldwing and he had a GPS. That is the key... you will find yourself taking roads you would never know existed and not have to do circles because you got lost.

A definite 4 star run that I would recommend to all.

Jason,
The Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway are my "must" rides every year. It's over 400 miles of some of the most scenic riding you will ever take as the road travels the tops of the Appalachian Mountains from Front Royal, Va. all the way down to Tennessee.&nbsp\\; The roads are maintained very well, there is not a single traffic light and the entire route is closed to commercial traffic.
Being an East Coast boy, I haven't done much riding out west so there's probably some sweet rides out there as well but if you're on the East Coast and you love the twisties, this is about as close to motorcycle heaven as you can get.
