sand it down with 400 grit, then i always rub the material i am shooting down with rubbing alch. then light coats, it is very heavy paint so it will run if you do it too thick... i do several lite coats about 7 min apart from eachother... just go slow and it works great!

What about the trees? Will it work on them also. What do you have in between the trees that is black? And where do you get the rubber fork sliders?

black epoxy paint (rustolium appliance paint) got this little tip from ED... it would blow your mind how tuff this paint is, and how much it matches my high gloss black powder coating... you can get it anywhere you can buy rattle cans, it has a picture of a stove and fridge on the can... just be careful, they are not joking when they tell you that you have 1/2 hour to spary then you have to wait a week to re coat... I am building a low budget bobber right now and instead of tearing it all down and sticking it in the oven i am doing the frame in the black of this paint, the wheels in the white, and the spokes and center hub of the rims in rino liner, to allow for flex... the rest of the bike i am shooting the real way... but never the less, this stuff is awesome! i have 6 cans of each color in the shop right now, no lie

nope no chipping. i did take a good rock to them but touched it up wiht the touch up paint that home depot has, can not even see it was there, i did laqure clear over mine and wish i wouldnot have, do not clear them just paint em this paint is super tough, only reason i wish i did not clear them is you can see some spider webs on spots where rocks hit, i have done alot of stuff in this paint and it is tough, ed found a great thing when he found this paint! i am a big fan of it!

and that's why I check the forum often.&nbsp\\; Friggin' appliance paint\\; I didn't see that one coming.&nbsp\\; Talk about durable.&nbsp\\; Great idea.&nbsp\\; I'm not gonna do my forks, but I will pick up a can for some small parts that I don't want to have to touch up.&nbsp\\; Good stuff, JK, thanks!
