I give up on posting.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I have now tried 3 times to post with no luck.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Just in case this happens to reach anyone has anyone else gotten a price to change stock bars to mini apes?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Mine was 1100.00 from both a stealer and an indy.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Plus they also insisted on my first born grandchild.&nbsp\\; The indy was quoting Chubbies and the stealer HD.

 

I've been looking to go from mini apes to lower bars and have been told about the same price. I was told most of the $$$ was changing the cables from the long ones to shorter ones. Its a shame your not in South Florida we could do a swap!

Daaaaaam. I just had a local bike shop put some 12" apes, crome swithhousing, new levers, &amp\\; new mirror all for $600.

 

If you can find a forum member with take-off bars and cables, you can do this yourself for $150.00 or less.&nbsp\\; Do a search here.&nbsp\\; There is lots of info.&nbsp\\; "thebestofindica" has posted a complete write-up with pics.&nbsp\\; Also get a service manual.

Wow......stealer is quoting me 350.00 for the chrome housings alone let alone the apes.&nbsp\\;I already have the mirrors and levers.&nbsp\\;You certianly dont live in Ca.

 

Even with gas prices, you might want to come to Colorado and have it done, nice scenery ride to.
