Just ordered a set of 2" Pipes for my Fat Bob...will they be loud enough???? \\; I don't want to be obnoxiously loud and figured the 1.75" wouldn't be loud enough for me.....
They might be a little too loud when you hit the throttle! They were for me...I switched to the 1.75 baffles and not much difference in loudness just tone... \\; Unfortunately sound level is in the eye of the beholder..I like short blonds.......other guys like big redheads..... ...If the RUSH are too loud for you you can always sell them on ebay like I did...Go to a bike night and listen to the other Dynas in the RUSH are too loud for you...you will find your pipes eventually!  \\;
I went the other way, started with 1.75 and replaced with 2.0 - deeper tone and louder.
 \\;
The nice thing about Rush is the baffle sets aren't too expensive if you want to change later.
I tried the 2", 1.75", and 1.50" baffles in my Rush pipes when I had them. They were easy to replace
and all sounded different both tone wise and loudness wise. You will have to be the judge of what you
like. They all got louder with age which is caused by the fiberglass matting material breaking down on
the baffles. You will love the pipes!
BJV,
Loudness of pipes is all very subjective so it's hard to give any meaningful input to your decision. Yet let me give you this bit of anecdotal evidence for your worry. I have the 2" Rush pipes on my '06 LR. I was in a parking lot the other day and just starting it set off the car alarm next to me. That said, I've had the pipes for two years and that was a first for me. Overall, I found the 2" pipes the best combination of loudness and the deep tone that I love so much. I think you will really enjoy them. As noted above, one of the beauties of \\; the Rush pipes is that you can fairly easily swap baffles if the 2" ones are not to your liking. Enjoy the ride........
I have the Rush 2.25's on my 08 Fatbob. Nice deep tone and not really too obnoxiously loud,(although I am kind of halfdeaf to start with!). At least the neighbors haven't called the police on me yet! Love the sound of the Rush, now it sounds like a Harley is supposed to. Stock pipes way too quiet, sounded like a Honda.
I too am runnin' the 2" baffles. \\; IMO, they were nice n' loud in the beginning, but have mellowed significantly over the last 3K miles or so. \\; I heard it was supposed to be the other way around, with the sound deeping over time. \\; Perhaps I'll have to wait a bit longer...though not too long I hope, or I'll have to go up to 2.25".
 \\;
However, as many on here (much wiser than I) have advised, any baffle size \\;over 2" may require you to fiddle with remapping, A/C, etc...
 \\;
Good luck in you decision!
I just got my Rush slip ons with the 2 inch in the mail today. \\; Put them on and just got back from putting about 100 miles on. \\; They are freaking awsome. \\; Sound great. \\; Real deep, loud when you get on it, but not too loud when crusing. \\; You won't be disappointed.

I have Rush 1.75's on my 07 Street Bob. I must admit I thought they we almost too loud when I took my first ride. I was used to the stock sound ( which ain't much ) when I had them changed. The more I ride the wider my smile gets. They do bark pretty good when get on it but they are pretty mellow for cruising. I like my and will stick with 'em......
