HD does make a shiel specifically to fit with the passing/driving lights. Check the catalog.

Icecaps ...&nbsp\\;

How do those Motolights mount? How do you have the wiring run?&nbsp\\;

Thanks ...

&nbsp\\;
These are mounted on the fender bolts.&nbsp\\; I ran the wire under the fork brace and then up the brake line.&nbsp\\; I used those clips that HD sells to run wires in the fender.&nbsp\\; The On/Off switch is on the back of my fuse cover via heavy duty velcro.&nbsp\\; Also these have a relay hooked up to accessory fuse so they can come on with the other lights.&nbsp\\; The power to the lights is directly from the battery.

Elginator,
&nbsp\\;
I like your setup. I&nbsp\\;am also&nbsp\\;considering something similar. How difficult is it to install the HD Fog&nbsp\\;Lamp kit? Is it necessary to splice the kit's wiring harness&nbsp\\;into existing wires?
&nbsp\\;
Thanks,
Gil

Actually, I let the dealer do it for me while the bike was in storage last winter. (Free storage if you spend money on accessories or service.)

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you got a good deal. This is a mod I would like to do myself, but do not want to&nbsp\\;alter the&nbsp\\;electrical system. I may just wait until I bring in my bike for a major service.

Due to a work related injury this past weekend&nbsp\\; I finished the install tonight and the lights look awesome, the windshield J U S T&nbsp\\; F I T S and the time from start to finish 4 no $hit hours lol&nbsp\\; with cutting the shield and tank removal tricky to a newbie (it would be nice if people could get a copy of the instructions somewhere prior to purchase) a real pain in the *** to install thinking what the hell did I get myself into now, but well worth it&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\; I did take pics and will post as soon as I can.

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Thanks for all the helpfull input and responce

I too did the HD aux lights on the SB, installed them on my forward pegs. Powder coated them black. The kit comes with everything you need for electical. I installed my switch up near my throttle so I can reach it when needed. I did a few mods, I spliced in a blinking LED so you can tell when the aux lights are on (for daylight running). Also, I had to cut a peice of plastic tubing (thick) to tighten up the aux lights onto the forward pegs. Rode over 500 miles with them on, works great. Guys I ride with say I have a trident light scheme&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;and is real noticable. Have not had any cars pull out in front of me with them on so far.

Do you have an engine guard on your bike. If so thses will work great. I have a set on mine and do not use the high beams because of having enough light to see a long ways down the road. I have also gotten comments from cagers that they could see me from a long way. The ones that I have are the Harley style part # 68913-98B. I connected them under my seat and ran the wire along the engine guard using black zip ties and attached the switch to the dimmer switch. In Texas they can not be on with the bright lights so they have to turn off when the brights are turned on. You can check them out on the Harley web site, I really like mine.
