I want to paint the exhaust on my FX flat black.. it is chrome now.. anyone suggest a brand or type of paint to use.. and how should I prepare the pipes for paint..

 

I'm not 100% sure how it would be on an exhaust but since it is high heat i'm sure it would be fine. I've had perfect results on the primary cover and other parts. Rust-o-leum high heat flat black is pretty much a dead on match for the black denim. Some people prefer to powdercoat which is also a good option but I love the feeling of taking everything apart doing it myself and seeing the results. And by the way in my opinion if there's a flaw so be it, it&nbsp\\;equals character as far as I'm concerned but wtf am I. Good luck.

 

Have you thought about wraping them? I havent had much luck getting paint to stay on exaust pipes.
