Looks nice! Was thinking about doing it when had it off the bike, it's around $150 here. Then decided - screw it, I like it with battle scars
Did it drop temp to the point it doesn't burn through your jeans?

I rolled my Thunderheader for 8 years using high-temp black header paint from AutoZone. Good prep and a couple even layers and I never had an issue with durability of the finish.

I'm not sure about other people, but I didn't get them because it was an extra $250. My leg gets hot when I'm sitting at a red light but other than that I haven't had any issues. No burnt pants or anything

I'm the same as the last post, the shields were an extra $250 on an already expensive pipe, and I'd seen some questionable feedback at the time regarding the fit/finish of them. I heat-wrapped them, which worked fairly well...still burned a hole in two pairs of pants.

You guys are giving me hope. I really want to buy some THers, but the finish issues has me a little weary. If I can get six plus years out of a pipe, then it would be worth it for me.

I use 2 of the three. I was tired of the holes in my pants and the heat coming off the rear pipe.
