...You guys probably got the DEMO Bikes that they ship out early...It would be up to the individual Dealership to Decide if they want to sell it....Was the Color the Choice you made or was it the only thing they had at the Dealership?...My Delay could be because I placed a Special Order...I am getting the Denim Black with Denim Black Rims.....But all the Dealers gave me the same story....I'm glad you guys got your Fat Bobs early....they look Great!...I'll pos my pics up as soon as I get mine....

I can assure you mine was not a demo bike. Yes, it was the only one they had on the floor though.
I walked into the dealership 2 days after they put it on the floor. I didn't have a color in mind that I had to have, and the Red Hot Sunglo looked good to me.
And since I bought mine, they now have another one at the same dealership in Vivid Black.

well, this just sucks... one of my dealers in the area has the bike your getting sitting on the showroom floor with a price tag on it...
Picked up my '09 on Tuesday in Denim Black...but I did call about 5 other local dealers and most did not have any. One even had a waiting list with deposits on them.
The 09's are all over the place in MA! Fat Bobs are no more desireable than any other...trust me, they will be around for as long as they continue to sell. Your dealer is trying to generate a false sense of urgency!
I'm happy to see so many Fat Bob Enthusiasts.
I was actually originally shopping around for the VROD. The reason being that every dealership I went to never had a Fat Bob on the showroom floor and the rentals they had always had all kinds of crap hooked up to it so you couldn't really see the bike! I was just waiting around for the 2009's to roll out. Then I saw the first Fat Bob at one of the Dealerships. It was a Demo Bike and when I say Demo Bike I don't mean a bike that you can test ride. I mean a showroom bike. It hadn't even been there for an hour when the cousin of Dave Grohl came in and bought it for CASH just like that. I didn't even get to sit on it. All the Dealers told me that as soon as the bikes get delivered they don't even get to hit the showroom floor. There are waiting lists at all the Dealerships I have been to. But don't fret because sometimes Dealerships don't take names off when someone changes their mind. This is just so that if someone else comes in they can just replace the names.
I went down to the Harley in San Diego and the GM actually let me ride HIS personal Fat Bob and Vrod and let me tell you it was just love at first sight. You can simply inch the throttle on the Fat Bob and it just takes off. The Vrod was just quient and....blah!....Since then I have been having Fat Bob fever! I can't wait to pick up my Denim Black with SE Heavy Breathers and V&H 2-1 Pipes w/Denim Black Rims!! If anyone is going to the LOVERIDE at the Pomona Fairplex in October say hi! Foo Fighters and ZZ Top is performing.
Anyone else going?
