just rode my buddys 06 st springer home cause i forgot my keys at home. they look cool ride ok dont shake at stop lights but man they are slower, rev slower and feel heavier than \\; my dyna. as soon as i got on mine i hauled *** home man i love my dyna.
Nah!!
 \\;
Ride the FXR someday.....1982-1994 and 1999-2000 models. These beat the Dyna and Softail both.
 \\;
Quiet possibly the best bike Harley ever manufactured...."EVO powered FXR"
before getting my WG and buddy and I both rented models... me the WG, him some Softy of some sort.
Half way through the day we swapped bikes... I pulled over after three blocks and said "gimme back that Dyna". \\; Friggen hated it. \\; And a Fatboy was on my shortlist, glad I had a chance to see how they felt.
Same here, rode a new Heritage. The engine \\;sound / feel \\;is so \\;different must be the balanced effect i suppose. Much prefer the raw thump of my Dyna, don,t think i,ll be changing any time soon.
rented a fatboy in Vegas, cruised around, went to the Grand Canyon etc Death Valley and the thing was ace plodding in a straight line but woefull handling and flat power wise,, you could give it the beans, everything it had and feel nothing! Anyways, glad i did it because a fatboy was #1 on my shortlist..
