I'm seriously considering a set of SB baby apes for my '08 SG. It looks from what I can see a cable extension isn't necessary, so if you have a set you want t part with, gimme a message.
You WILL \\;need a new \\;throttle cables, I believe. \\; If I remember correctly, I didn't have to change out the brake or clutch. \\; The wires were all fine too. \\; No extension needed there.
I put the mini apes on my '07 and changed out clutch cable, throttle and idle cable, and new brake line all new for around $160 - $170. Wires were fine with excess tucked in the frame neck. If you don't change out your brake line you will have to straighten out your existing one. I didn't want to because I didn't want the metal to crack trying to straighten it back out. Don't know if you have read about the tech tip about putting some sort of shim in the brake lever or not, could possibly cause the brake switch nipple to break if you don't.
I \\;changed my 2007 FXD \\;bars to \\;Street Bob mini apes. The \\;parts listed are for a Street Bob.

Wide Glide Bars 10" pt # 56079-93 Idle Cable pt # 56355-96A \\; \\;
Throttle Cable pt # 56356-96A \\;
My existing \\;brake cable that was long enough.
The existing clutch cable was also long enough, however \\;I decided to install the new one anyway since I was going to switch fluid in my tranny.
The throttle and Idle cable had to be changed to the longer ones.
All electrical wiring had enough slack in it that I was able to pull enough out of the frame to make it work perfectly.

Are you saying all of the cables were long enough running them THROUGH the bars? \\; Stealer and Indy both told me that they had to be replaced if running them through the bars. \\; Both quoted me 1100.00 with Chubbies.....new braided cables....chrome switch covers and Master cylinder.
