Per HD, "Black is the new Chrome". Wanna keep up so...I guess I'm going "black". Nice that HD puts just enough of a mix of chrome, polished aluminum and black on the bob to make you buy more stuff to go one way or the other... Anyway...I know I can buy night train stuff (rocker boxes, derby cover, horn cover, football etc) but, can a powdercoater take my chrome/polished stuff to "wrinkle" black? Anyone know? Thanks for the help!
Yes you can have your stuff coated if you can afford the down time.

I would probably elect to do that in the winter time...I guess? Any idea how expensive that is? I wonder if I'd be better off buying the night train stuff?
Powdercoating is the way to go. I had a lot parts on my bike black wrinkle powdercoated. \\; It is waaay cheaper to powdercoat your existing parts than to buy new HD parts. -Especially if you do all \\;assembly/disassembly yourself.

BASSMAN IS RIGHT..thats the way i am going to do it. \\;\\\\\\; come to think of it, we need to start a p-coating ring. \\;\\\\\\; say you buy fender struts on ebay, get it coated, sell the \\;stock ones to a forum member, they get it coated, then sell their stock to another member, so on and so forth... \\;\\\\\\; but that would get messy quick probably! \\;\\\\\\; just a little spark i had...
man i do stuff liek that for people all the time. finding a powder coater is easy, finding one that does it well is a bit harder. here are the pics of when i did the powder for my bike
For smaller parts do them yourself. \\; Check out POR 15 Products for metal prep and priming. \\; HD wrinkle black paint in a rattle can matches oem very well. \\; I've done battery box band, horn mount, SE Stage 1 AC mounting bracket, and a few other things. \\; You can't tell the difference. \\; Welcome to the dark side.
