Default Stage1 vs Stage2

Is there any one thing that differs in a stage1 or stage2. I tried to post a longer question, but was unable to.

Just wondering what the difference is, thanks
Ron

Stage 2, I believe is when you get into cams and such.

Stage one... change of air cleaner, addition of better exhaust and some type of fuel management system.
Stage two... stage one plus a change of cams and related parts.
Stage three... stage one and two plus working your heads to flow much better.
