Default Question on 2008 FXDB...

Hey all , been riding for ages but was just able to afford my dream of owning a H-D. Not sure if I am putting this in the right forum but I figured someone could help me.
&nbsp\\;
I just bought my 08 street bob and had vance and hines short shots, SE high flow air cleaner and a SERT installed by the dealership. Being as this work could complicate the warranty i want to take all precautions to make sure I don't do anything to damage the motor. My question is simple really, whats the best way (Any part #'s or links would be greatly appreciated) to monitor the engine performance to make sure everything is functioning properly. (Temp wise)
&nbsp\\;
Do I get a oil temp gauge? Engine Temp gauge? This is my first air cooled v twin so I am kind of in the dark.
&nbsp\\;
Thank you in advance for your help.

WITH THE SERT, YOUR BIKE HAS BEEN ON A DYNO.&nbsp\\; AND THEY SHOULD HAVE YOU SET UP&nbsp\\;CORRECTLY.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;YOUR BIKE IS NOW RUNNING BETTER THAN IT WOULD HAVE WITHOUT STAGE 1.&nbsp\\; I WOULDNT NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING.&nbsp\\; RIDE IT AND LOVE IT.

If your mods were done by a factory dealer then unless he tells you something specific, it will be covered by waranty.............. they are obligated to tell you if a modification voids your waranty......

Not necessarily, dealer could have just downloaded a canned re-map to get you close to optimum. Best bet is to get it dyno'd (if it hasn't been). Best way to tell how it's running (assuming it seems to run ok) is to monitor plugs to make sure it's not running too lean.

Also note that the dealer must re-tune your system after first 1000 miles as they don't want to run up the revs on a new engine until after its broke in, things change after the first 1000 miles.&nbsp\\; To save you dollars they recommend you wait until after 1000 miles to put all that stuff on so you only have to tune it once.
