Help on Engine Temp 08 FXDB
Hey all , been riding for ages but was just able to afford my dream of owning a H-D. Not sure if I am putting this in the right forum but I figured someone could help me.
I just bought my 08 street bob and had vance and hines short shots, SE high flow air cleaner and a SERT installed by the dealership. Being as this work could complicate the warranty i want to take all precautions to make sure I don't do anything to damage the motor. My question is simple really, whats the best way (Any part #'s or links would be greatly appreciated) to monitor the engine performance to make sure everything is functioning properly. (Temp wise) Do I get a oil temp gauge? Engine Temp gauge? This is my first air cooled v twin so I am kind of in the dark. Thank you in advance for your help.

IF it is tuned correctly, you shouldn't have a problem.....

Normal op temp is 280 at the combustion chamber (ET Sensor)....

Your SEST has the capability to record a data stream, and you should have the software to review it...
