The simplest thing to check and fix is the jiffy stand bumper on the frame. \\; It is common for this to hit something and rotate out of its intended position. \\; Kit a sharp bump and the jiffy stand slaps the frame.

Also, check your fuel tank and make sure the mounting bolts are tight.

If you feel the jolt in the bars, you may have the loose steering head bearings. \\; Not a complicated fix. \\; \\;There are several posts on here about the remedy for this.
