I wan't intending to shoot my mouth off about anything either way, as I certainly don't know enough to be shooting my mouth off. That and the fact that I am also interested in the AME kits. However, I was just posting a link to some more information regarding front ends, that's all. There is never anything wrong with doing some research before making a decision regarding changes or purchasing parts is there?&nbsp\\; That being said, it would be awesome to hear more detail from you regarding the kit, since you actually have one installed.

Maybe a brain fart but not getting your numbers. The 14 degree kit would give you at least 43 degrees of rake depending on the model Dyna.

If you are saying that you already added 6" over tubes then you are correct on the 8" over plus 14 degree kit.

Multiple posts suck. 4 other friends have the AME and we all agree. PM me if you want more info. Ken at AME is always ready to take questions also. Install is pretty easy.

The most important aspect of a chopper is the trail dimension. A bike which simply relies on a raked or adjustable tree cannot achieve more then 5 or 6 deg of additional rake before the trail becomes so small that the bikes handling becomes dangerous. The AME bolt-on system eliminates the guess work by providing your chopper with the same trail as the stock motorcycle.&nbsp\\; From the AME website. So apparently AME has designed their kits with the trail in mind to not suffer from the problems that website&nbsp\\;I was looking at was talking about! Also good to know! And that's two guys here that have experience with their products that recommend them.

hopefully the pic posts, if not the bike is lowered 4" in the rear and has 6" over forks on the front. that is why the trail is so high. The clearance i am concerned about is between the top triple tree and the tank at full lock. (mine already hits a little). appreciate the input y'all!

I have a 2.5 inch tank lift and have plenty of room to spare.
My kits a 49mm Wide Glide. Rock stable.
I installed mine in about ten hours, pretty simple if ya have some tool and a little mechanical apptitude.
factory 29 degree rake on my FXD + 14 degrees of kit = 43 degrees of rake on my 07 FXD.
If the forum worked you could check out the pics in my gallery.
