Grey Engine Casing
I was dead set on gettin a Street Bob untill I saw the 09's ugly grey engine casing, same problem with the Super Glides. What can be done about it. \\; Paint, Powdercoat, covers or just get a set of pipes that cover it the most. \\; Anyone know any realistic options?

You may need to start considering the Low Rider. \\; I just can't imagine going to the trouble or expense to pull down the \\;motor to powder coat it. \\; And I can't imagine paint looking worth a damn for very long.

Whether you cover it in chrome, buy a FXDL, go for the industrial look, or whatever will be your decision. \\; Regardless you will be welcome at HOG events, nobody will mistake your ride for a rice grinder, and nobody will care. \\; If you can't live with gray cases spend whatever is necessary to change them to a different color. \\; Have you considered \\;yellow powder coating? \\; Now that would be a high performance look. \\;Yellow and black. Yeah. \\; I've always liked Petty blue too. \\; Petty blue motor with cream tins \\;with Petty blue \\;accents would have a nice old school look. \\; Or maybe........... well, it's your bike, do what you want and can afford.
