I was dead set on gettin a Street Bob untill I saw the 09's ugly grey engine casing, same problem with the Super Glides. What can be done about it. \\;\\\\\\; Paint, Powdercoat, covers or just get a set of pipes that cover it the most. \\;\\\\\\; Anyone know any realistic options?
Don't let that discourage you from the 09. \\; You can get many black covers from harley and the rest can be powdercoated, really not that big of a deal. \\;
08 Superglide . Dealer installed forward controls two years ago . Stained the **** out of my primary cover . Tried just about everything to clean . It took rubbing compound with my sears drill to clean it and then pig snout too finish . Looks good and only took 2 years to do it ! No body at dealers seem to know . I was going to powder coat black . My next hog will be krinkle black .
