Harley sells engine paint in aerosol cans. It's a li'l pricey (it says Harley-Davidson, on it) BUT it is good chit. It is a bit 'putsy', but you can mask, use cardboard as a shield, etc. 1000 grit will 'clean up' the edges of the fins, IF you are going that route. The wheels were done with 240, then 1000, and then 2000 to get all the tire iron gouges, scratches, etc out.
NOW, J&P sells "Engine Paint", BUT I have never used theirs, so I cannot speak to it's performance. BUT my gutt tells me, it's prob'ly the same stuff.
This is as close as I can get for a pic of it. I used it on these when I restored them last winter. Guess you can tell, I get '****' about things like this. They're 31 yrs old.
You can go as far or as li'l as 'you' like, IT'S your scoot.
