My bike's not stock anymore, and I'm averaging about 38 MPG. Been tweaking my TFI abit on each phill up to see if I can get more, and keep it phrom going lean, but I don't think it will get better then that.

I have an 05 Springer, I cruise about 5-10 miles over the speed limit and last summer when I was riding a lot, I was getting about 50 mpg.

I haven't checked since making some "upgrades", but after I purchased my street bob I was getting 46-50, it was depending on my right wrist.

I was wondering the same thing also. The book says 50 highway and 44 city. I seemed to be in the high 30's on back roads. I checked it again this weekend and it was a lot better, up close to 50mpg. The bike must be getting broken in. It has over 1100 miles now.

I get from 38 to 44 mpg never been any better than that. I went on a road trip which
was all open road cruising to see how good it would be and did not get over 44 mpg.
Bike is still all stock no mods.

Wouldn't a stage-1 upgrade increase mpg at least on the highway? The extra power generated from a more efficient running engine should keep the bike cruising down the highway while the engine and ECM are under less "load". Eh?
