I've had unacceptable buffeting on any bike with a windshield that I've ridden including baggers and full fairing metrics. \\; I must \\; be sensitive to it but for me, no windshield is the only way to go. \\; Clean windblast from a bike without a windshield can be annoying but you get used to it and it's not as bad as buffeting. \\; A seat with a lip for back support helps alot.

Thanks for all of the posts and links to previous threads. \\; I'll try a few tips to block the air from below. \\; If no success, will try to return the windshield and learn to hang on tight at highway speed!

These HD chrome lowers solved 90% of my problem. I have a 07 dyna low rider and used the hd softail lowers. \\; Had to mod them a bit but they work great.

I have never owned a bike with a windshield. And I have been riding a long time.

I installed the "compact" detachable shield on my superglide. \\; Had the same issue with the buffeting, so I loosened the top screws and moved the shield out so it stood up more verticle, tightened everything back up and most of the buffeting is gone now. \\;

I have an 08 Wide Glide and bought the quick detach sport windeshield. \\; It sits 18" above the headlight and the buffeting is awful. \\; I have tried adjusting the shield higher then lower and nothing seems to work. \\; The windshield is fine at 30 mph but anyhting higher than that is extremely uncomfortable. \\; The buffeting is so strong it actually moves my head so much my vision is blurry at times and gives me a wicked headache. \\; I've maybe used it 3 times on short rides but prefer to wear a bandana to help with the bugs and am now looking for a seat with a removable backrest for longer rides. I wouldn't even want to sell this thing to anybody...what a waste of money.
