Progressive shock spring tool
Okay, received it today... used to disassemble the 412 shocks
Call me stupid, but how the heck do you use it? Anyone know? I was expecting a compressor of sorts. What am I not seeing? What am I missing?

lock the bottom eye in a vise
set the tool on the top of shock with the hook in the top eye
as you tighten the hook bolt it will push the tool down on the top of shock compressing the spring and allowing you to remove the 'c' washer that holds it all together
i made my own works great
don't know if yours came with some type of plastic washer to protect the chrome top of shock
