2008 FXD front end problem
2008 FXD front end problem
I have a 2008 FXD with 1000 miles on it. Recently whenever I hit even the smallest bump in the road I'm hearing a loud clunk somewhere in the area of the front motor mount/ fork area. I rode for a few miles today and it definately seems worse than last week. Any ideas? Loose motor mount? I'll be bringing it in next week but I'm hoping to steer the mechanic in the right direction.

There is a service bulletin, M-1215 that applies to 07 Dynas that addresses the "clunking" front end. \\; Not certain if applicable to the '08's. \\; Email me at my regular email address dostrow@va.metrocast.net and I'll send it to you.

Good grief....I have this same problem on my 06 SG. \\; I took it in and had the new washer installed as the M1215 says. \\; It was done under warranty. \\; Still does it. \\; I'm not sure they did the fall away adjustment. \\; Now I see they still have the same issue with the 08 models.  \\;

How many years does the new washer fix go back. \\; I have an 04 Dyna and it clunks too. \\; Fall away is good.
