Mufflers, what gives??
My buddy put a pair of Vance and Hines mufflers with quiet baffles on his stock bike and I really didn't think it was much different than the standard sound. \\; Is that all he should expect? \\; Every one says the quiet baffles give it a better sound but it was pretty quiet. \\; Do they have different sizes? \\; The reason I ask is that I want to get Rush 2.0 and if they are almost as quiet as stock than I will hold out for a complete exhaust. \\; I am not looking for crazy loud just a little more with a nice tone. \\; Thanks for any input.

I can tell you I put Rush 2.0 on my Fat Bob. \\; As for sound there is no comparison to stock, \\; the rush have a nice deep sound and when you twist the wrist they will bark...

I don't know about the quite baffles, but regular baffles are much louder than stock. I just put 2" Rush on mine. A good bit louder and much deeper than stock. You won't be dissapointed.

Not \\;to metion in my state its illegal to increase the sound of your exhaust, but it seems that too many Harley owners only obey the laws they agree with, and violate the ones they don't.

My Harley is just as fun with stock exhaust, and my neighbors and nearby residents don't hate me either.

Loud bikes have \\;done significant damage to the reputation of the motorcyclist, especially those squids riding their R-1's at 100+ with modified exhausts.

Keep it legal and quiet, and we'll be MUCH better off and have a bit more $$$ in our pockets.

The city of Canyon Lake California BANNED ALL motorcycles from their gated area, even it you live there and its a 100% street legal motorcycle. \\; You have to walk your m/c \\;to your house or have it towed, what a nightmare.

That is because all you guys who thought a loud m/c sounded "cool". \\; Well, you pissed off all of th other residents who voted and BANNED ALL motorcycles across the board and the \\;BAN has been in effect for over a decade and it withstands court challenges.

I'm not a squid or a teenager, a stock quiet Harley is better than a loud thunderous freight train rolling in your driveway every night.

Dude we're just puttin a little performance in our bikes, were not doin wheelies sittin on the handlebars and spinnin 360's all at once, just all tryin to make our bikes different!

I put on the V&\\;H slip ons with the reg baffles and they were LOUD...aka bugging the neighbors.
I installed the quiet baffles and it just takes enough away that they are quiet enough in the neighborhood, but still nice and loud when you jump on it. \\; Much better sounding than stock and and louder too.
