Default Help for father in law

FXDB on this forum needs some help with a rear end shimmy on his 07 street bob. Not constant, worse when lugging and always bad when turning. Any suggestions?

Belt is adjusted to spec as per his repair manual. How can you tell if tire is or bearing are bad? Bike only has 6 or so thousand miles on it and tire is in great shape tread wise. This all started after his 5000 mile service, which he did himself and which included the belt adjustment.

Then I would think the first thing is do the adjustment again - starting at step 1.
perhaps the 2 sides are not evenly adjusted?

Put bike on lift, grab rear wheel and see if you can wiggle it. If you can, possible wheel bearing.

Loose spokes?&nbsp\\; Tap them with a wrench and if they thud instead of a ring sound they are not tight.&nbsp\\;

More info. The wheel was adjusted using the small allen looking tool for measuring the distance from the small hole in the swing arm and the two sides are spot on, however when you look at the axle nuts you can see that the right leg side appears to be farther forward in the actual axle hole than the left, almost the axle holes do not line up or the small holes in the swing arms arent matched up.
