Unhappy 04 dyna HELP!!

ok 04 dyna lowrider changing pipes and on the rear one of the flange studs well heres the problem i dropped it!!! it lands on top of the oil filler starter area then rolls down torwards the left side(side bike leans to when on kickstand) and falls down but doesnt fall all the way thru!!!??? i cannot find it in there now am afraid of it being stuck in the tranny gear rear output drive area where the belt is.. what can i do?

Keep looking, or take off the primary cover and fish it out.

Sort of drives you 'nuts', huh?
I used a small dental/swivel mirror, a narrow magnet pick-up wand (auto store) and a small maglite.

Jack it up and roll the rear wheel around, I doubt it would create a problem.

i also doubt it would create a problem... roll the bike around and shake it... it will jingle!

Did the same a couple times on my 04' FXDi also! Like everyone said, roll it around, bounce up and down on the seat, put it in gear and roll it back and forth, it WILL fall out at some point UNLESS it is sitting on something, which you can see will a flashlight, magnet and mirror.

There's no chance you will find it inside the primary. If there was a hole back there big enough for a nut to fall in, you would have a hell of a time keeping the oil in!

could be stuck around where the shifter is...I hate when bolts get swallowed up and disappear..
