Default Dyna kicker, kick start, kicksarter

Any body ever put a kick starter on a dyna glide. I have a 1998 fxds and want to put one on. I have drag pipes and want to know if the arm will clear the pipes. Also, which kit did you use, one extends the main shaft and is about 300 and the other includes the mainshaft and is about 600.

If your rear pipe crosses in front of the tranny cover, you'l have to do some modifying. On the older bikes the rear pipe either ran in front and then below the tranny cover, or over the top and then to the rear of it.

I have no personal experience with the kits you mention, but from talking with several wrenches I'd choose the one with the complete mainshaft.

When I built my Dyna project over the winter I decided to stay with the original 4 speed and kicker. You have use pipes that are designed to clear the kick shaft.....
