Bike WON'T downshift!!!...Help!!!
Bike wont downshift while going above 15mph. I had to take a right turn in fifth gear last night. It has been sticking for a while, but last night it completely locked up. I have to stomp the living $h!t out of the shift lever to get it to budge, and that's when it wants to move at all. I already disassymbled the forward control to clean inspect and lube. That leads me to believe that the problem is inside the bike. WTF???!!!

Found it! The old lever from the mids fell back and bound up with the aft lever from the forwards. (Does that make sense the way I explained it?) That is why I could upshift, but every time I up shifted... the old mid control lever would wedge further back. I'm not sure what to do about it just yet, but I think I will saftey wire it tonight at work.
ha ha ha told ya brother! had a rock in mine! usually if the bike will not shift that is why. glad you found it! ride safe man... ooh ya did oyu see the chrome kit that Bberk installed! looks awesome!

Haircut, I was going to suggest the same as Joe and take a look. Same thing happened to me where the old lever dropped down and stopped her from downshifting, kinda sucks when your in 6th and stuck on the highway. Easy fix though. This was with the Kury forwards.
take a picture of what you got going on man... maybe we can figure something out so this will never be an issue again... do you still have the little peg deal stickin out of the primary? not to sure what your talking about with the "old lever"
