Default Exhaust gasket questions

Installing my new v&h exhaust on my 07 FXDB this weekend. On the gaskets, I will have to remove the gaskets from the bike and replace them with new gaskets. Questions:

Will they come out easily?

What method should I use to remove them, I assume they are pressed in pretty tight?

Thanks,

jimd4au

A small flat head screwdriver will do it. The gaskets fall apart most of the time when you remove them so make sure you get it all out.

I use a spring puller that I got for my dirt bike. It works great to hook the old gaskets.

Yeah, get the regular gaskets, not the Screamin' Eagle ones. The normal ones are thicker and tapered and are better sealing than the thing SE ones. Install them so the taper faces out.

will come out easy with a small flatblade...just wedge around the perimeter till they come out...bigger issue the retaining rings...you do have retaining ring pliers... right...!!??
