I agree, Starboard's paint is sweet. Good luck with your quest, I hope you find a great painter.

Jake, had no idea this was a HD item. I love that tank. It is one of the best looking bike's I have ever seen. Wish I could see it in person.

Thank you Vic, I can honestly say that the pictures do not do the bike justice. A few here, Chipstah, CNC Guy, and his wife Chrome Lady have seen it and all have stated that it looks so much better in person.

My ears were burning so I had to post

Believe it or not, there is a another guy here in San Antonio with the same red flame set as mine. He had his done (on a Low Rider, no less) in late 2006 and it is starting to fade a little and the red paint looks pink in the sun. He keeps his bike in the garage, like I do, but we both ride every day. The only way he could tell is with mine side by side. I asked the dealer (they introduced me to the guy) to have more red metallic added to the paint on mine and they said they would. They did not. Now I am worried about mine turning pink in a year or two. Keep this in mind as you make your decision.

I still have my original tins and I am planning on another paint job for 2009. It's only money, right. Here are the places I have asked for quotes from.

http://jeillusions.com/ - I am looking at a custom graphic design (expensive, around what Jake's cost, but I haven't seen anything that looks as good as his)

http://www.customflamepainting.com/ - fairly inexpensive (about the same price as HD, around $2000, but you get more options)

Also, my HD tins took over 6 weeks to get after they were ordered.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!
