got my bike out today for the first time in two weeks. its an 02 sperglide and with the bike a little off idle the odometer goes blank and the engine light comes on. when i let off the throttle the odom comes back on and after a few second the engine light goes back off. any one have any ideas any help would be great thanks in advance. oh and didn't have any problems when i put it in away last time.
start with the basics... check your battery terminals... the vibration my cause a bad conection... if not that see what codes the bike is throwing... then we can help you from there... i am only at the PC for another 45 min then i am on the road... illhelp as much as i can
sorry forgot to mention that i cleaned and tightend all the connections i could
checked codes the only the that comes up is
d01clr d02clr this goes through d10clr
then i have ppu press the button again and it has 84172

what have you done to the bike... if your odometer is going out i assume you mean the light in it... you may have a pinched wire under you dash... did you check the fuses
no the numbers on the odom go out and the engine light comes on let off the throttle and the numbers come back on then within a 1-5 second the engine light goes back out
checked every wire i could see without taking alot of things apart the light stays on just the numbers go outand the engine light comes on the bike still runs fine though
