I have a 2008 fxdc and I love it. Some guys call it a Dyna Glide and others a Super Glide. Which is correct and what is the difference?

It's a Super Glide Custom.

Super Glide, Super Glide Custom, Wide Glide, all refered to as Dyna Glides.

It's both. The model name is Superglide Custom. All Dyna models are known as Dyna Glides. Ofcourse if you go around telling people you ride a Dyna Glide they may look at you funny.

I have an 08 FXDC .....When people ask what I bought ..I always say " A Dyna " if they ask which model ..I then say " a Superglide Custom "

I told a friend I was probably gonna buy a Street Bob a while back, and he replied "Oh, a Dyna Glide?"....just the family name, and also what a lot of people know them as.

I have an '08 FXDC and always answer "Super Glide Custom" when asked which model of Harley that I own.

I agree with "Yellowhawks" explanation. I've never heard my Streetbob called a Dyna Glide. It's a Dyna class bike but not one of the glides.

I've run into the same thing. When I tell them that it's a Super Glide Custom, they nod and act like they understand. Some do, some don't. Of course if you really want to throw them for a loop, just tell 'em that it's a Sportster on steroids.

You could also tell them you have an FXD, FXDB, FXDL, FXDC or FXDWG
