Hello all....Over the winter I want to put a set of ape hangers on my new Super Glide custom. I dont want to go all crazy like the Kong bars but I dont know if I really only want to get mini apes, anyone have any suggestions as to what size to get that would look cool and also be comfortable? Ive ridden a street bob with the mini apes on them and liked them but amybe want a litte more than that?Also if anyone has any pics of their SuperGlide Custom with the apes that would be great! Thanks in advance!

 

Look at Roland Sands Vintage bars...2 different sizes...also comes in black...Looks cool on the Dyna...

 

dig the short stack... but on your bike if you do get a set of mini's (off a member i hope) you can add a bit to your rise for cheap, i think you would like the mini apes... i sent mine to a memeber a while back or you could have my stock bars...

 

I have the 12.5" Wild1 Chubbies, a couple inches taller and wider than mini apes, plus they are 1.25" diameter which I think looks much better than 1" bars.
Whatever you do wire them internally and give serious consideration to braided stainless for brake, clutch and throttle cables. They look much better.

 

hey there JRK....The more I look into it the more I am leaning towards the mini's. Will I need all new cables for the mini's?? I want to replace all them anyway with the braided but will I need longer lengths? Also will they just attach with the stock handlebar clamp or will I need to purchase risers or something?? best thing i did was put baby apes on low rider

 

should work fine with your stock set up... i do not think you will even need new cables!

 

I put on 16in apes now i wish i had the 18's My budy put on 14's and is crying.
