Has anyone tryed the NGK Iridium plugs on their scooter
just wondering if anyone has tryed the ngk iridium spark plugs on their bike yet. I have an 07 Street Bob and want to try them.
Anyone know what the number for this plug would be....
well here is my story and i am sticking to it.
when i had my PC put in and k&n filter, the guy that dynoed it said this is the plugs you use now.when i went for a service at harley they took them out and when i started driveing home i could feel it was a little slower,so i turned around and got my plugs back.
on a bike that is stock it might not matter.but with more fuel going in i do feel it on my bike .i have rinehart slipons to.
Don't quote me on this, but I remember reading somewhere that the ECU is able to discern the difference in resistence with the iridium plugs and it screws up the closed loop functioning of the fuel injection. Long story short, I remember reading that the Harley plugs work the best (unfortunately). I have iridium plugs on my Ducati, and they work great. Does anyone have a link about the Harley vs Iridium plugs? (Or am I crazy?)
I don't have the link but remember reading about the same thing. The consensus was to stick with the stock HD plug. It performed better than the aftermarket ones.
