I have a '76 FXE; yesterday afternoon, when I stared it to leave work, it was missing really bad. I shut it off, pulled the plugs, (new 3 days ago), and the one in the rear jug (only) was dripping gas. I cleaned them both off, installed and went on my way. After a few seconds of idle at a stop light, it loaded up again and started missing. After I ran it on out and throttled it a little it cleared on out, but every stop light it would load up again. When I got home & pulled it in the shop , I let it idle for about 3 minutes and it never missed a beat. I went ahead and orderd a rebuild kit, (Super E), but I'm thinking trash in the tank. Any thoughts

The carb's an S&S Super E. It's not dripping gas.
Since the problem appears to only be the rear cylinder, I'm beginning to think coil or coil wire. I'll look into that tonight. I read somewhere that the ignition switches in this model FXE were bad about shorting out after several years of vibration.
