Default Removing Mustang Saddle

When I purchased my Dyna Super Glide T-Sport, it came with a two-piece mustang saddle. High quality seat but too wide and it cuts into my ability to stand flat-footed when at a full stop. I've purchased what appears to be an OEM one-piece saddle and want to swap the mustang out to see if I realize any improvement. I expect the saddle to be a little less firm also; the Mustang saddle was pretty stiff (very supportive though).

Where are the seat attachment points and what is the procedure for removal?

One thing I noted when I received the OEM seat is that I didn't get the passenger seat strap that normally is just forward of the passenger seating area... I suspect I will have to get that separately?

The only attachment points for the stock seat are the tab in the front by the tank and a screw at the back of the passager seat.
Take the screw off the back, then lift carefully and slide the seat towards the back so the tab slides out of the front tang.
When someone put the Mustang seat on they probably took off the strap because it wouldn't fit around the wider seat. So yes you will have to pick a strap up if you want one. I think it would look better without unless your passerger would use it. My wife and kids don't use mine, they hang on to me.
I'm the opposite of you, I was thinking of picking up a Studded Mustang Wide touring seat, the wife doesn't like the stock one for riding more than a 1/2 hour.
The real test for your new stock seat will be a ride of more than an hour, I can do 1-1/2 hour before butt burn starts.
Good luck.

The prior owner must have installed the strap on the mustang seat; I'm missing the strap with the OEM seat I just purchased. Now, just met a gal that likes to ride on the back of a Harley and I'm on the fence on whether she would prefer the larger Mustang pad than the smaller, narrower on the one-piece oem. May forego the swap until she has an opportunity to ride on the back... may make points! [sm=goodidea.gif]

You always want to keep the female rider happy![sm=smiley2.gif] Get as many points as possible.
Otherwise it will make for a very long ride for you both. [sm=bicker.gif]
