Question upgrade or not?

I have a 90th anniversay wide glide. Very mint. Vance and hines exhaust chrome lowers, mustang seat, harly slant bags extended foward controls for my long legs. I love the bike. Now my problem is this, I have the chance to get a 2004 heritage softail custom at a good price. 16 k miles on it very mint. It has the harly custom paint of black with dark blue metallic ghost flames. #ed set on bottom of tank from harley. All chrome controls, chrome lowers, chrone bottomed floorboards (pass) braided cables and the studded bags (but they sagged). it has the spoke wheels. It is a real nice bike. I have sat on it a few times but it sure feels different from my WG. So anybody have a experience from the 2 types? any help would be great.

I wouldn't change, but then I don't like the balanced motor the Softy's have. I'm also not a big fan of the Heritage.

You are asking us to give an opinion on something very personal to you. if it weren't for this Heritage that crossed your path, were you thinking of a change? Has the look/style of the Heritage always caught you eye?

I wouldnt call that an upgrade, You could always upgrade your Wide Glide if you love the chrome.

well what happened was i took my friend bike shopping 1.5 yrs ago. i saw this bike and steered him to it and told him i would get this one if i was looking. So yes it is one i would want. and now the chance may present itself to me to own it. So I know its a personal issue, but yes i do like the looks of the heritage, Im just not sure of the comfort issue etc. Since i do have extended foward controls and all. I was just wondering if somone has done the switch from a dyna to a TC88 softail and can give some experiences. I do plan on riding it before buying it a few times anyways. thanks Jeff

i have a fatbob 2008 and have tryed my friend 2005 heritage softail custom. for myself
it feels heavy.when you brake the bike has to be straight or else if you will lean to my
left or the right...IT FEELS HEAVY..in the traffic it dosnt move as fast as my fatbob. riding country side was fun.and the autoroute...i like a sporty bike that can turn on a dime.BUT if i go for a cruiser, i do have to say that the heritage is a good bike..

Go over to the Sofy section and ask folks about the Heritage, trying to relate it to your riding style, body size (lenght and weight, etc), and see what kind of input they might have.
example: you like to hit the twisties and push the limits - They might say "Heritage is great, but it isn't going to rip through the turns like you might want"
(just an example, i don't know if that is acurrate or not)
