Have you thought about doing the surgery? My carpal tunnel was terrible from welding for years, I had the same problem you have, then it got to the point to where I couldn't even sleep at night. So I got the surgery and got full relief, now I have no issues what so ever. I just wish I didn't wait so long to do it!

I just put a Throttle Boss on my Fat Bob in anticipation of my 2,000+ mile trip next month. I am hoping it will help out on keeping my hand from getting numb like it does after hours of riding.
