Default Wrist Fatigue/Pain

At the advice of a fellow rider, I installed a Throttle Boss. I have carpal tunnel & some nerve damage in both wrists. Gripping the throttle for anything more than about an hour would result in my right hand, or parts of it, going numb.

More than an annoyance, sometimes, I couldn't feel the controls. Trying to use my right turn signal, I'd have to look down to see if my thumb was on the switch.

The throttle boss allows you to control the throttle with your palm, so you can us a more relaxed grip, or even keep your hand flat.

I haven't ridden the bike with the Throttle Boss installed yet, but I will post a review after I've had a chance to try it out a bit.

Also... looking on line, I see there a number of different type or version of this product, to work with a variety of grips. I have the Kuryakyn ISO grips (6205), so I was able to get a matching Throttle Boss, which looks very nice on the bike. There are also generic versions of this product available, so I imagine you can find them for just about any style grip.

My hand used to go numb a lot after about an hour, didn’t think to use the thumb screw until reading about it here, what a difference that has made, just got it tight enough so it does not decelerate when I take my hand off, and not hard to move, tried it this w/e and it is great, I can take my hand completely off the throtel and continue at the same speed, after a few bumps it starts to back off, I would try that first before spending any money

Default love it!

I don't have carpal tunnel but I love the wrist / hand support those things offer.

the only consideration....when on the highway I set it high...then when I enter town..I set it lower.
But I love it.

I put a Throttle Boss on my last bike and put a lot of miles on it. For me, it was more for neck and back than forearm. We're like our bikes in some ways -- everything's connected, sometimes in ways that are not so obvious. You will definitely find the Throttle Boss an improvement.

On this bike, I've chosen to go with a Throttle Rocker I had befrore I bought the Throttle Boss. It is one of the older models that does not use a strap. It does not look nearly as good as a Throttle Boss, but it does offer one benefit over the Throttle Boss: more convenient adjustability.

Most of the time it's set it and forget it, but once in a while, particularly if I am going to be on highway for a good stretch of time, I'll adjust it so that my wrist position is exactly comfortable at the speed I'll be cruising. I can even tweak while riding, which you can't do with the Throttle Boss or the strap-type Throttle Rocker. Similarly, if I am in the mountains I will adjust a bit differently.

I have a Throttle Rocker, but still not used to it. Releasing my grip on the throttle goes against my instincts, but I think it's a good product and will slowly get used to it.

I use the rubber band type from Kury, quick on or off.
I like it on the highway but not around town.

I use the star screw if riding by myself works great , but riding with others the Throttle Rocket works good also.
